|
There are currently two scholarship opportunities available to students in the Information Assurance programs at Champlain College Computer & Digital Forensics (C&DF) and Computer Networking & Information Security (CN&IS):
- Information Assurance Scholarship Program (IASP)
- The 2009-2010 application cycle is currently open. Complete the application form and submit all necessary paperwork to Gary Kessler by 4 p.m. EST on January 20, 2009.
- Federal Cyber Service: Scholarship for Service(SFS)
- The 2009-10 application cycle is closed
- We anticipate the 2010-11 application to be posted in September 2009 with an application due date in January 2010.
These scholarships are open to individuals who:
- Are full-time students majoring in C&DF or CN&IS
- Are within two years of graduation by the Fall semester of the academic year when the scholarship would start
- Are U.S. citizens
- Have a 3.0 GPA or higher
Both scholarships pay for tuition, books, fees, and room and board. Depending upon the scholarship funding source, students are required to work for the U.S. Department of Defense (IASP) or a governmental agency (SFS) for one year for each year of scholarship support. More information can be found at the Web sites above or by talking with Gary Kessler (IA scholarship program coordinator), Cristian Balan (C&DF program director), or Jim Hoag (CN&IS program director).
