Interlibrary
Loan (ILL) is an arrangement that allows Champlain College students, faculty,
and staff to borrow materials that are not available in the Champlain
Library by requesting them from another library. You do not need to try
to identify which library will lend the item -- that is part of the ILL
service. ILL requests must go through a Champlain College librarian, and
normally take one to two weeks to fill.
To request a book or an article, first make sure that you have an accurate
citation for the item (title, author, publisher, date, etc.), then make
sure that it is not available at Champlain. Then, submit your request
using a paper form (available at the Circulation Desk)
Note: Champlain College faculty and students can borrow books directly
from some other local colleges. Speak with a librarian first to hear details
and to arrange the necessary paperwork.
