STATDISK is a software program for PCs designed specifically for the Triola Statistics Series.
STATDISK can be used to calculate results, manipulate data lists and produce graphs.
All of the data sets from Appendix B are included.
You are not required to use STATDISK but I like it a LOT and it's free! Give it a try.

After installation click the following links to learn some basic ways to use STATDISK
- Lists & Stats: Enter a list manually and calculate statistics such as mean, standard deviation, 5-number summary and more. Examples 3-2 page 86 number 5 and 3-3 page 105 number 5 are explained also.
- Automatically enter lists of data (Data Sets 1 to 18) on pages 620 to 642 in your text book into STATDISK to save you the trouble of typing them in manually. Create a frequency histogram (or relative frequency histogram) from a list of data. Example 2-2 page 48 number 21 is done for you
- Create a Box Plot from a list of data. Examples 3-5 page 126 numbers 7 & 8 are done for you.
- Compute critical values for confidence intervals (Chapter 7)
How to install STATDISK on your PC
Method 1: Install from the CD.
Insert the CD that came with your book into your disk drive and follow the instructions.

Step 1. Click on the picture of our textbook. It looks like a larger version of the picture here.
Step 2. Then click on the STATDISK signpost which looks like this.
Step 3. Then find the bulleted items that looks similar to this
and pick the one for your operating system
Step 4. Follow instructions for installing STATDISK. If you are succesful, you will see an icon similar to this one somewhere on your computer. Click on this icon to launch STATDISK.
