6-2 The Standard Normal Distribution
All Normal Probability Distributions have a bell or mound shape. The Standard Normal Distribution is the normal distribution with μ = 0 and σ = 1. Remember μ is the mean and σ is the standard deviation of a population.
Use Table A-2 or STATDISK to look up the probability associated with z. Page 238 of your text book gives excellent decriptions and examples of how to find probabilities associated with various z values.
